Gontiti - (we are here) 40 years have passed and we are here (IEX)

Details: This landmark release marks a return to their roots: a fusion of acoustic guitar and digital textures, enhanced with strings and woodwinds, all woven around their signature, evocative melodies. Brimming with fresh sonic layers and unparalleled comfort in sound, this is a true gem of an album. Gonzalez Mikami and Chichi Matsumura continue their deep musical explorations, creating a sound that defies genre labels like jazz, bossa nova, or easy listening. The result is pure, genre-transcending Gontiti pop-a world of 'comfortable music' that is uniquely their own. Analog cutting by Shinya Matsushita (Piccolo Audio Works) LISTEN: https://open.
